The former Dacia Spring for €29/month, but…

Dacia is selling off the last of its old Spring electric models with astonishing leasing offers.

29 euros / month, almost as much as a phone plan. At this rate, even the 100 euro government car under Macron looks very expensive! But how is it possible to rent a car every month for half the price of a one-day rental? astonishing.

First, we discover that Dacia offers nice — but rare — discounts on its previous Spring model. Mobiwisy uncovered new units starting at 17,500 euros. Note that this model no longer benefits from any eco bonus and its specifications are already dated. But for daily use, it’s more than sufficient.

A big first rent?

The Dacia offer is based on a long-term lease (LLD) spread over 37 months and 30,000 kilometers, which is 10,000 km annually. The initial payment is indeed substantial, at 5200 euros, nearly a third of the vehicle’s value. Then follow 36 monthly payments of 28.63 euros, totaling 6230 euros!

If you negotiate to finance the first payment via a bank loan spread over 36 months, you will need to add 144.44 euros to the monthly payments of 28.63 euros, making the actual total about 173 euros per month.

So, is it really that interesting? At first glance, we want to say yes, because even at 173 euros per month, factoring in fuel and maintenance savings, this old Dacia Spring adds purchasing power.
