Tesla Giga Berlin

After a 2025 marked by a significant slowdown in its sales, Tesla is now showing renewed confidence.

In its 2025 annual report filed by Tesla Manufacturing Brandenburg SE, the American manufacturer confirms a new phase of expansion for Giga Berlin, which is set to play a central role in its European strategy.

The official document indicates that the German factory plans a significant increase in its production in 2026, with a better utilization rate of its facilities thanks to a recovery in demand, particularly for the Tesla Model Y. Already tasked with supplying more than thirty markets, Giga Berlin is also expected to expand its scope to new countries, confirming its status as the brand’s main European industrial hub.

This ramp-up concerns not only the assembly of vehicles. Tesla also reaffirms its ambition in battery production. The group continues its investments at the Grünheide site, where the annual capacity for cell manufacturing is now raised to 18 GWh, compared to an initial target of 8 GWh. In total, nearly 1.4 billion dollars will have been invested in this strategic activity.

Black on the Bench

While these investments had already been announced in recent months, their confirmation in an official financial document demonstrates Tesla’s commitment to sustainably accelerate in Europe. The integration of battery and vehicle production at the same site aims to reduce costs, secure supplies, and enhance competitiveness against European and Chinese manufacturers.
