Manufactured in Europe, the new Dacia Spring opens orders with an attractive price and improved equipment, but the competition requires looking beyond the entry price.
Dacia resets the counters. Produced in Slovenia, the second generation of Spring starts at €17,900 in Expression and reaches €19,400 in Journey, excluding subsidies. The Spring Expression could thus drop to €11,720 for households eligible for the maximum grant of €6,180, subject to obtaining the required eco-score and its actual eligibility for aid upon billing.
Even Dacia in its official communication is cautious about this grant with its complex attribution conditions: “The new Spring is eligible for purchase aids dedicated to electric vehicles. The ‘Boost Grant for Electric Passenger Vehicles’, which amount is linked to the reference tax income, ranges from €3,620 to €6,180.”
The formula remains simple: an 80 hp engine, a 27.5 kWh useful LFP battery, and up to 250 km of WLTP range. With four seats and a trunk advertised at 337 liters without a luggage cover, this Spring aims to exceed the role of a secondary car.

The Expression includes manual air conditioning, rear radar, electric front windows and mirrors, as well as a 50/50 split rear bench. The additional €1,500 for the Journey brings a 10.1-inch touchscreen with navigation, a rearview camera, and hands-free access.
But beware of the extras: home charging cable at €300, front trunk at €150, and paint at €550. Moreover, the fast charging pack costs €500 and is reserved for the Journey. To benefit from this, one must therefore spend €19,900 before aid.
