MG Cyberster and MG3 meet OL players

Football and automobiles have long-standing strong ties, with each major club having its automotive partner. In Lyon, it’s MG.

Olympique Lyonnais players thus had the opportunity to discover the new MG Cyberster and MG3 at OL’s training center. Both new models will also be displayed at the Groupama Stadium this Sunday during the Lyon-Monaco match.

It’s already been three years since Olympique Lyonnais players switched to electric vehicles, and the idea of trading their Marvel R company car for a dazzling Cyberster has certainly been on some minds… In its dual-motor, four-wheel-drive configuration, the newest addition to MG’s rich lineup of roadsters is the most powerful and highest-performing production car in MG Motor’s history. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds thanks to a total output of 510 hp (375 kW) and a torque of 725 Nm.

The MG3 Hybrid+ seems to be somewhat less popular among players. No matter—it’s clearly the big contender in the French market thanks to its almost perfect combination of quality, features, and price. It is already available for pre-order at less than 20,000 euros.

The Cyberster and MG3 Hybrid+ will both be exhibited at Gate G at the Groupama Stadium during the OL-AS Monaco match, starting when doors open at 3:30 PM on Sunday, April 28. Spectators will then have the chance to challenge club players from the city of Lyon in a reaction-based game and win a signed jersey from the best player they manage to beat.
