Kia France officially announces the arrival of the EV5 in the French market, a new 100% electric family SUV.
Already available in other markets, the Kia EV5 complements the Korean manufacturer’s electric lineup alongside the EV3, EV6, and EV9. Orders are now open at Kia dealerships, with a starting price set at €44,990.
Based on the E-GMP platform with a 400 V architecture, the Kia EV5 features a robust and modern silhouette, in line with the “Opposites United” design philosophy. Its front end stands out with the “Star Map” light signature and the EV Tiger Face grille, while its taut lines and pronounced shoulder enhance its family SUV appearance. Depending on the trim, it is fitted with 18 or 19-inch wheels.
Inside, the EV5 emphasizes space and modularity. With a wheelbase of 2,750 mm and a flat floor, it provides generous room for passengers. The trunk offers 566 liters in standard configuration and can reach 1,650 liters with the rear seats folded down, plus an additional front trunk of 44 liters. The cabin adopts a clean presentation, integrating eco-friendly materials and a comprehensive technological package.
The cockpit revolves around a triple panoramic screen infotainment system, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Depending on the versions, the EV5 also offers advanced connected services, over-the-air updates (OTA), and an AI-based voice assistant.
On the technical side, the SUV is powered by a rear electric motor of 160 kW (218 hp), fueled by an 81.4 kWh battery. The range reaches up to 530 km WLTP, with fast charging allowing a 10 to 80% charge in 30 minutes on a DC charger.
