Ford Capri: More Sporty and Finally Up to Standard?
Ford has announced an update for its 100% electric coupe SUV Capri and the arrival of a sportier version.
Ford is banking on sporty charm to revive its electric Capri. The new special series Capri Pack Collection, available from 47,790 euros, is an attractive version that revisits the legacy of competition Capris, offering a bold style and enhanced equipment. This is enough to make you forget, at least for a moment, that the range, even though improved, still falls short of the standards set by Tesla Model Y and Chinese models.

On the outside, the Capri Pack Collection immediately attracts with its exclusive Tribute Blue paint, a direct nod to the historic liveries of racing cars. Lowered front and rear skirts, aerodynamic side skirts, an enlarged rear spoiler, and partially satin black 21-inch alloy wheels give the coupe SUV a truly athletic presence, more pronounced than ever.
Inside, the atmosphere is just as sporty. Dominant Onyx Black, Tribute Blue touches on the soundbar and seat belts, speckled black and blue inserts on the dashboard and console: every detail recalls the legacy of legendary Capris. Ford thus transforms its family electric vehicle into an object of desire.
Range still limited
Technically, the Standard Range versions are making progress: a new LFP battery and optimized motor bring the WLTP range to 444 km (+60 km). The power reaches 140 kW (190 hp) and the torque 350 Nm, achieving 0-100 km/h in 8.0 seconds. This improvement is welcome for daily commutes, but the range still falls significantly short of direct competitors: Tesla Model Ys often display more than 500 km, with some Long Range versions reaching up to 650 km, while many Chinese models (XPeng G6, BYD Sealion, or equivalents) regularly exceed 550 km WLTP.
Ford enhances the whole package with practical advantages: Pro Power Onboard up to 2.3 kW, optional Adventure Pack (dog grid and trunk net), one-pedal driving as standard, and SYNC Move on Android with a streamlined interface (app folders, enlarged screens). Driver assistance features are enriched: adaptive cruise control recognizing lights, 50 m rear parking aid, memory Active Park Assist, and alert vigilance with emergency immobilization.
