Hyundai pushes further with the NPX1 concept

NPX1 is the very first N Performance concept model from Hyundai based on the sporty electric IONIQ 5 N.

We recently discussed Hyundai’s intention to enter the ultra-sport electric segment. Here is an illustration! The concept model provides a preview of a series of improvements brought by N Performance Parts that will be available for purchase by customers in the near future. The N brand plans to launch N performance parts for the IONIQ 5 N in 2024 and expand the product range for all models of the N brand.

The sporty division of Hyundai, N Performance Parts, was launched in 2019 and has since been developing high-quality accessories for the Korean brand’s customers. Continuing the line of internal combustion engine vehicles such as the Elantra N, i30 N, and i20 N, Hyundai N plans to offer components for fully electric N models, including the IONIQ 5 N.

NPX1 features a carbon front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a wing, lightweight hybrid carbon wheels, high-performance brake pads, and optimized suspensions. The interior is equipped with Alcantara and racing bucket seats.

Hard to imagine driving such a machine on the roads? Yet it will be commercialized in 2024! Zero-emission sports cars, no penalty, at prices that challenge traditional thermal vehicles. Here is how manufacturers can help the general public understand that the loss of noise comes with many benefits.
