Fiat showcases its Panda and 500 electric models with a €5000 discount

The internal competition between thermal and electric engines forces Fiat to discount its Panda and 500e battery models.

What scares Fiat more: the cannibalization of its customers who prefer the gasoline versions of its Panda and now 500, or the imminent arrival of the electric Renault Twingo?

In the end, why choose? The 500e, while successful, has never found its audience due to a price that is too high. Its thermal variant, with a small micro-hybrid gasoline engine, could give it a second commercial life. We’ll see. As for the Fiat Panda, which is only a Panda by name due to its size (it is now called Grande Panda), has turned its back on the minimalism of its original concept and struggles to find its place on our streets. Is it due to a design that is too divisive?

A Panda starting at 17,800 euros?

Fiat is therefore offering, until November 30, 2025, a 5,000 euro discount on the order of a Grande Panda electric or a 500 electric. In the case of the latter, the interest remains very relative with a starting price that drops to 23,900 euros. This is still more expensive than a Renault 5 electric, which is much more relevant.

Then there’s the case of the Grande Panda. Thanks to the discount and the CEE premium of 4,600 euros (reserved for very low-income households), the Italian model’s price drops to 17,800 euros in its POP 44 kWh version without options. If you are only eligible for a 3,100 euro CEE premium, then the price rises to 19,300 euros.

This is still quite expensive for a city car that offers only 250 km of range. It is urgent to wait for the arrival of the Renault Twingo, and for the future more generous CEE premium in 2026, before rushing in.
