Vélizy-Biscarrosse without a single recharge stop: the challenge seemed ambitious, but DS did it. Two units of the new DS N°8 Étoile FWD Long Range traveled 750 km on secondary roads, never stopping at a charger. Upon arrival, the battery still showed about 5 to 8% of capacity remaining, roughly 50 km of range — enough to approach 800 km of theoretical autonomy.

The test, conducted under real-world conditions — cool temperatures, secondary roads, average speed of 54 km/h — confirms the robustness of the announced range. DS had already validated 500 km on the highway; this time, it was the departmental roads that served as the testing ground.
Beyond performance, the brand emphasizes French expertise: battery assembled in the Hauts-de-France, motor produced in Trémery, and an aerodynamic design (Cx of 0.24) serving the “Art of Travel.” A somewhat poetic expression to describe a 2-ton vehicle, but it illustrates DS’s desire to combine technology and refinement.
