BMW i4 2025 Model Year: Even More Range and Power

The electric sedan from BMW leaves no respite for the Tesla Model 3 and evolves in 2025, notably with an ultra-powerful version.

“Do you want to play? Let’s play!“. This is essentially the message sent by BMW to Tesla with its i4 model year 2025-2026, whose energy performance continues to improve. And in quite astonishing proportions to be honest.

The electric car, by definition, allows for continuous evolution: electronic management, motors updated without difficulty as long as size and weight remain similar, tires, etc., it is increasingly easy to gain both autonomy… and power simultaneously. With a thermal engine, one was at the expense of the other.

Thus, the 2025 model years, starting in July, of the BMW i4 will benefit from new power electronic components to improve their efficiency. The i4 eDrive35 and eDrive40 will see their consumption drop by 4.5%, thus increasing their range by +10 km (428 km) and +6 km (510 km) respectively. In the city, where energy recovery is greatest, the range increases by 22 km in both cases.

For reference, the eDrive35 version offers 210 kW (286 hp) of power and its battery has a net capacity of 67.1 kWh. The eDrive40 rises to 250 kW (340 hp) and its battery reaches a net capacity of 81.3 kWh.

An electric M4 is coming!

BMW does not call it that, but the i4 M60 xDrive could be considered a true 100% electric Motorsport version. Compared to the previous iteration, power increases by 42 kW, or 57 hp, to reach 442 kW… or 601 hp! For a four-wheel drive sedan, admit it will be impressive with a 0 to 100 km/h time achieved in just 3.7 seconds.
