Audi travels 1,338 km without recharging: this impressive electric record

The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron performance has traveled 1,338 kilometers on a single charge, setting a Guinness World Record thanks to remarkably low consumption.

This record speaks more to drivers than a mere display of horsepower. In Poland, European rally champion Miko Marczyk pushed the Audi A6 electric’s range to 1,338 kilometers. With a consumption of just 7.09 kWh/100 km, this sedan demonstrates that efficiency also deserves its trophies.

Starting on September 11 at 1:55 AM, the driver followed the Vistula River, passing through Kraków, Warsaw, and Toruń before reaching Hel on the Baltic, then turning back. The adventure concluded more than 45 hours after departure, between Toruń and Ciechocinek.

The feat is all the more impressive considering this Audi produces 367 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. Its recipe for long-distance travel: a useful 94.9 kWh battery, careful energy management, and a body with a drag coefficient of 0.21.

Preparation and Expertise

The timing was also well chosen: with an average of 15 °C, September helps limit heating needs without dealing with the hot summer temperatures. A nice balance to preserve valuable kilowatt-hours, even though the thermometer dropped to 7 °C in the early morning.

These 1,338 kilometers far exceed the 777 kilometers of WLTP range announced. However, they are the result of a driving style entirely focused on economy, in regular traffic: anticipation, gentle acceleration, and controlled deceleration.

It’s impossible to promise the same for highway trips during vacations. But Audi makes a strong statement: to go further in an electric car, finesse matters just as much as battery size.
