A vehicle like the Pear could only originate from the inventive mind of a great designer. Henrik Fisker began his career at Aston Martin and BMW. Father of the Aston Martin DB9 and the BMW Z8, he subsequently decided to launch his own brand and gained public recognition in the early 2010s with the exceptional Fisker Karma. This large four-door coupe (about 5 meters long and nearly 1.99 meters wide) stood out with its endless hood and impressive 22-inch wheels. A plug-in hybrid ahead of its time, the car remains today a highly sought-after collector’s item.

Pear Plays Houdini

After a decade-long lull, Fisker made a big comeback with two new models, the Ocean and the Pear, which reveals several very appealing features. This high-riding compact sedan is supposed to revolutionize urban mobility for trendy city dwellers.

It already offers an optional front bench seat that can be switched to a 3-seater configuration, similar to Multipla. Then there’s the solar-paneled roof that extends the range. But what caught our attention are its trunks. At the rear, the trunk called “Houdini” extends behind the rear bumper to allow obstacle-free loading. It’s really cool and doesn’t seem to reduce cargo volume. A magic trick well executed!

And if the rear trunk isn’t enough, there’s the “frunk,” a storage space accessible at the front, like a drawer, offering generous capacity. Its special feature is enhanced thermal insulation, ideal for keeping food hot or cold. Naturally, this was all it took to turn the Pear into a pizza delivery vehicle! Ultimately, two trunks for twice the fun.

With a charming look, lots of delightful gadgets, and an affordable price announced in Europe at 32,900 euros, everything is in place for a bright future for this charming Pear.
