94% Satisfaction Among Electric Vehicle Users!

Electric cars

This is the unequivocal result of two studies on electric mobility carried out by Enedis among private individuals and professionals.

For the sixth consecutive year, Enedis observes the uses and expectations of private individuals equipped with 100% electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles. The company also conducts, for the second year, a specific analysis of professional fleets to measure the progress of their electrification. Together, these surveys provide a detailed snapshot of practices and satisfaction levels at a time when electric mobility is increasingly becoming part of everyday life.

The results speak for themselves: 94% of private drivers of 100% electric vehicles say they are satisfied. Companies show exactly the same rate. Motivations converge: operating cost savings, reduced emissions and driving enjoyment. Yet, among companies still hesitant, reluctance persists: 91% still do not intend to electrify their fleet in the short term.

Electric vehicles are gaining ground on long trips

The EV is gradually becoming a main vehicle. Today, 90% of private users use it daily (+6 points) and 65% say they are ready to cover more than 400 km in one go. Use is intense: six days a week on average, with one driver in two using it daily. For fleets, the average daily distance rises to 105 km, a level now comparable to combustion-engine vehicles.

Home charging remains dominant (77%), but alternatives are progressing. One third of users can charge at work, and 36% of apartment building residents regularly use public chargers. Companies are also strengthening their infrastructure: one in two has a charging point per vehicle, covering 97% of needs. Another notable change: 45% now allow charging of personal vehicles on site.

Although still a minority, charge management is progressing: 35% of private users use it systematically. The reform of peak/off-peak hours (TURPE 7), which extends off-peak hours to the early afternoon, could further accelerate this practice. Companies are getting on board too: 36% now manage their charging, of which 41% do so via an integrated energy management system, primarily to optimize costs.
