Volvo launches the EX30 with a €4,000 discount!

The Volvo EX30 100% electric may have found its audience, but the Swedish manufacturer is not easing up on the pressure.

The Volvo EX30 is now priced starting at 33,500 euros thanks to this promotion, which more than compensates for the absence of a government eco-bonus due to its Chinese manufacturing. Remember that just 10 months ago, it was listed at 39,100 euros! This entry-level version is equipped with a 272-horsepower motor and offers a range of 337 km in WLTP mixed cycle. This setup is not ideal, as everyday needs would favor a real range of 400 km, even if it means reducing the power to 150 horsepower, but at this price, it’s acceptable to work with it.

This promotion valid until April 30, 2025 applies to a few hundred EX30 units and comes with no particular conditions, other than picking up a vehicle in stock. Needless to say, cars at 33,500 euros are not abundant, as we only found four today! The Espace Automobile dealership in Perpignan confirmed that there is very little chance they will stay in stock for long. But the promotion is also valid on higher trims, which is far from uninteresting.

This strategy ultimately leaves a bit perplexing because the EX30 is the brand’s new bestseller in France, with 5,143 registrations in 2024! Good for the customers. The recipe for success obviously includes the brand’s reputation and the serious image it conveys, but also simple and clever technical choices. In a compact format, the EX30 features a long wheelbase, large wheels, and equal suspension travel, which provide recognized road stability and top-tier interior space. All of this comes at a cost, but when it’s reduced so much, you end up with an excellent 100% electric car, rightly recognized as a finalist for the 2025 Car of the Year award.
