Bentley has an unbeatable recipe for being on time for raclette
The Bentley Flying Spur sets a new “Winter Lap Record” on the world’s northernmost circuit.
Bentley has once again pushed the limits of performance. On December 11, 2025, the Flying Spur Speed established a new winter lap record at the Drivecenter Arena circuit in Fällfors, Sweden, just 160 km from the Arctic Circle.
On the fully ice and snow-covered track, the sedan completed the 3.3 km in 2 minutes and 58 seconds, becoming the fastest car on this circuit in winter conditions. Despite the ice, the Flying Spur reached 193 km/h on the straight, thanks to its variable all-wheel drive and rear steering.

This record draws inspiration from Bentley’s historical feats: the Ice Speed Records of 2007 and 2011, and the endurance record of the Turbo R from 1986. The car used, registered Y15 BML, pays homage to the Turbo R with its Brooklands Green paint, yellow lines, and an interior of Linen, Cumbrian Green, and Open Pore Walnut.
A Seasonal Record
The Flying Spur Speed combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with 600 hp and a 190 hp electric motor, achieving a total power output of 782 hp and 1,000 Nm in Sport mode. In all-electric mode, the sedan can travel up to 76 km and reach 140 km/h, offering a perfect balance between power and efficiency.
The record was accomplished with the active Performance chassis, including Bentley Dynamic Ride, all-wheel steering, a limited-slip differential, and advanced stability control. All assistance systems were disabled, demonstrating the mechanical mastery and precision of the vehicle on ice.
With this new record, Bentley showcases that the Flying Spur Speed excels in all conditions. Luxury, power, and technology combine to create a unique driving experience, even just steps away from the Arctic Circle.
