Is DS hiding its future DS 3 as a concept car?
With its reasonable dimensions and industrial concerns, the DS F3VER concept seems to already be looking towards the assembly line. Could it hint at the outline of a future DS 3?
A paint job that oscillates between blue and purple, tunnel-effect taillights, a name replacing a letter with a number… The DS F3VER has certainly revised its concept car manual. But behind this evening wear, the novelty presented at the Paris Motor Show holds a surprisingly down-to-earth message. Trunk space, habitability, a reduction in the number of components: we’ve seen style studies less concerned with their industrial future.

Measuring 4.19 meters long, 1.84 meters wide, and only 1.46 meters high, this compact electric car lays out a credible path for an heir to the DS 3. Its 2.70-meter wheelbase and a trunk capacity of 400 liters give the impression of a project designed to accommodate more than just the gazes of onlookers.
Too Real to Not Be
However, DS does not confirm either this lineage or a production schedule. Officially, F3VER is exploring the brand’s future directions. Nevertheless, certain choices smell more like preparation for series production than a gratuitous exercise: combined headlights and daytime running lights, one-piece bumpers, removal of added plastic cladding. Under the name “Design Intelligence,” the aim is to simplify design and assembly processes. Almost an industrial program.
Not everything would obviously survive a transition to a dealership. The 16 LED taillight panels and their magnesium structure might face some budgetary compromises. However, the Y-shaped light signature, the enveloping two-tone treatment, and the customizable roof ring seem to offer more easily translatable ideas.

A revealing silence remains regarding the limits of the exercise: no battery capacity, power, or quantified range. The future small DS may be unveiling its wardrobe. For its technical specifications, patience is required.
