Starting grid and TV schedule for the 2026 British F1 Sprint

Meet this Saturday, July 4th at 1:00 PM for the Sprint race of the 2026 British Grand Prix of F1.

The British public will have plenty to cheer for this Saturday. In front of a crowd that fully supports him, Lewis Hamilton has secured pole position for the Sprint race of the British Grand Prix, the ninth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The seven-time world champion recorded the fastest lap in Sprint qualifying and will start from the front on a circuit where he has often excelled.

Beside him on the front row will be Kimi Antonelli. The young Mercedes driver once again confirms his speed over one lap and will try to put pressure on Hamilton right from the lights out. The second row will feature two usual contenders for the top spots with Max Verstappen third in his Red Bull and Charles Leclerc fourth in the second Ferrari.

George Russell completes a solid grouping in fifth place ahead of the reigning world champion Lando Norris. Oscar Piastri will start from seventh position, just in front of Isack Hadjar. The Racing Bulls of Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad round out the top 10.

Regarding the French drivers, Pierre Gasly will start from eleventh position and aims to climb into the points, awarded to the top eight in the Sprint race. Behind him will be Gabriel Bortoleto, Nico Hülkenberg, Franco Colapinto, Carlos Sainz, and Alexander Albon.

The Haas, Cadillac, and Aston Martin teams will compose the last rows of the grid. On a circuit as fast as Silverstone, where overtaking remains possible thanks to long straights and DRS zones, this 100-kilometer Sprint race could already shuffle the deck before the qualifying for the Grand Prix scheduled later in the day.
