The Chinese group BYD will present eight new models aimed at the European market, spread across the BYD, DENZA, and YANGWANG brands.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026 will be the venue for a showcase of strength for BYD. The world’s leading manufacturer of electrified vehicles will present eight new models across its three brands – BYD, DENZA, and YANGWANG – confirming the acceleration of its development in Europe.

The premium brand DENZA will be the main highlight of the event. It will unveil the new Z Coupé and Z Racing in their world premiere, two electric sports cars that embody the advancement of the Chinese manufacturer. The Z Coupé features a three-motor electric architecture capable of reaching 350 km/h while maintaining a 2+2 layout suited for daily use. The Z Racing pushes the concept even further with enhanced aerodynamics and numerous carbon fiber elements.

DENZA will also take advantage of Goodwood to present the BAO 5 in its European premiere. This plug-in hybrid SUV combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with three electric motors thanks to DM-o technology, designed to deliver high performance both on the road and off-road. The festival will also mark the official launch of DENZA in the UK with the upcoming commercial releases of the Z9GT and the D9 DM-i minivan.

The BYD brand, on its part, will highlight two strategic models for Europe. The new DOLPHIN G DM-i aims to democratize plug-in hybrid technology in the city car segment, with an indicated total range of 1,040 kilometers. The SHARK pickup will also make its European debut. With 435 hp, it claims a 0 to 100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds, up to 88 kilometers of electric range, and a towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes.

Finally, the luxury brand YANGWANG will showcase three iconic models: the hypercar U9 Xtreme, already noted for its speed records, the large sedan U7, and the spectacular SUV U8L capable of temporarily floating on water.
