Tesla arrives in Morocco: electric power takes over

Tesla officially launches its sales in Morocco, opening a new chapter for electric mobility in North Africa.

The American manufacturer Tesla takes a historic step by announcing the launch of its commercial activities in Morocco, scheduled for February 6, 2026. This arrival marks the transition from the brand’s preparatory role to a concrete operational presence, with electric vehicles accessible directly to Moroccan consumers.

To celebrate this entry into the Moroccan market, Tesla will open a pop-up store at AnfaPlace Mall in Casablanca, where its flagship models, Model 3 and Model Y, will be showcased. Customers will also be able to use the local online configurator to customize and order their vehicle directly from the Kingdom.

A well-prepared arrival by Tesla

This establishment is based on the creation of Tesla Morocco, a local subsidiary set up in May 2025 in Casablanca with a social capital of 27.5 million dirhams. The company will manage the importation, distribution, maintenance, and services related to electric vehicles, while contributing to the development of charging infrastructure in the country.

The Moroccan electric vehicle market is experiencing sustained growth, driven by consumer demand and public policies favorable to sustainable mobility. Even before the official launch, Tesla had already deployed a network of Supercharger stations in major cities, facilitating the adoption of its electric vehicles and preparing the ground for this commercial expansion.

The arrival of Tesla in Morocco goes beyond mere car sales: it is a long-term strategy to strengthen electromobility in North Africa, stimulate investment in clean energy, and accelerate the energy transition. The Kingdom thus becomes a strategic hub for Tesla, positioned to attract innovative technologies and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles at the regional level.
