Big software update at Audi!
Audi announces updates for five models with even more comfort, features… and fun.
Audi is announcing a major hardware and software update for its A5, A6, Q5, A6 e-tron, and Q6 e-tron models, based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and Premium Platform Combustion (PPC). These updates, expected to be delivered in early 2026, aim to enhance driving pleasure, comfort, and onboard technological experience.
On the dynamic side, the new “dynamic plus” mode transforms the Audi S5 and S6 e-tron into vehicles with a more sporting experience. Active power distribution, combined with brake torque vectoring and electronic stability control, allows for controlled oversteer and rear-oriented driving. The Audi Q6 e-tron quattro will benefit from increased power. The electric models see their regenerative braking optimized, providing smoother stops while recovering more energy for range.
Driving assistance is also progressing: the adaptive assistant now allows for assisted lane changes and automatically adjusts speed in the city according to detected signs. Parking features are enhanced with Park Assist Pro and memorized maneuvers that can be executed autonomously on private properties. Remote control via smartphone even makes parking in a garage easier.
The cabin evolves with a new multifunction steering wheel, optional sculpted seats on the A6, and a simplified user interface inspired by the Q3. The Audi assistant, enhanced by AI and the integration of ChatGPT, makes voice commands more intuitive and allows for advanced interaction with the vehicle and embedded applications.
Audi wants to improve the onboard experience
Embedded gaming becomes a true onboard experience. The affected models now allow connecting controllers and headphones via Bluetooth to play titles like Asphalt Legends or Queen Rock Tour, without disturbing the driver. The MMI screens on the passenger side offer a privacy mode for fully enjoying entertainment, while the immersive scenarios “experience worlds” combine light, sound, and massage for a personalized atmosphere.
Lighting is modernized: the A6 receives Digital Matrix LED headlights with adaptive functions, dynamic projections, and OLED 2.0 taillights. An integrated dashcam captures 4K HDR videos for added safety.
