Roger Federer and Mercedes renew their vows

Roger Federer and Mercedes, a fruitful partnership that has already lasted 15 years and is now extended for several more.

Roger Federer established a long-standing partnership with Mercedes-Benz that has continued to expand through the Swiss champion’s off-court activities. Their project ‘Neon Legacy’ aims notably to support the next generations of tennis players. In June 2023, a public tennis court in Abbey Wood, London, was renovated and opened to the public by Roger Federer. On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, just before the Laver Cup, Roger Federer returned once again to interact with children from the Vancouver area hosting this year’s competition.

“My goal has always been to give back to tennis and society after my career. With this extension of our long-term partnership, Mercedes-Benz and I look forward to identifying and implementing these special projects for the benefit of communities around the world.” said the man with 20 Grand Slam titles during this event.

We are also pleased to continue our ‘Neon Legacy’ initiative, which started successfully with the beautiful tennis courts in London.” highlighted Britta Seeger, Member of the Mercedes-Benz Board of Management. “Roger’s passion and global presence will guide us toward many more projects in the coming years.”

A prestigious showcase for Mercedes

Vancouver is hosting this year’s Laver Cup. This tournament, envisioned and developed by Federer, brings together the elite of world tennis once a year to honor tennis in general and Australian tennis legend Rod Laver in particular. Since its inaugural edition in 2017, European stars face the best players from the rest of the world in a head-to-head competition.

Mercedes-Benz will provide the vehicle fleet for players, officials, and selected guests. The players from both teams will be able to discover the Mercedes-EQE 500 4MATIC, available in two colors, blue and red.
