The French police will ride Italian electric motorcycles

The Italian company Energica, based in Modena, has won a contract from the French administration with its electric model Experia.
Electric police cars are already part of the urban landscape in many countries, but for motorcycles, it is still somewhat rare. However, Energica Motor, a company based in the province of Modena, will soon supply one of its models to the French forces.
The manufacturer from Soliera has indeed won a tender launched by the French administration which, in November 2022, requested the supply of two-wheeled electric vehicles for the Police and Gendarmerie.

The tender launched by the Union of Public Procurement Groups (UGAP) concerns patrol vehicles, not high-speed intervention vehicles for which thermal engines still have bright prospects. Energica submitted its application along with two other companies, the bodybuilder Durisotti and Tendance Roadster, the first Energica dealer in France, active in our territory since 2017.
The French Police and Gendarmerie will therefore soon receive their specially adapted copies of the Experia model.
