Suzuki MOQBA

We thought we had seen everything in terms of mobility, but no! Suzuki introduces a mix of small car, motorcycle, and quad, the MOQBA.

MOQBA is the acronym for Modular Quad Based Architecture. The idea for this vehicle was born from the inventive minds of engineers at the Yokohama Research Institute, Suzuki’s technological center working on new forms of mobility. It represents their vision of the innovative and versatile urban vehicle of tomorrow. And this concept visualization is at least surprising!

MOQBA measures 1.31 meters in length, only 0.91 meters wide, and 1.54 meters tall. The four independent legs of the vehicle equipped with wheels allow it to always keep the occupant at constant seated and level positions, even on steep slopes or, of course, stairs.

In addition to its role as a small urban transportation vehicle, by combining the basic chassis of the MOQBA with three-mode accessories, three modes can be adopted: chair mode, standing mode, and stretcher mode. Suzuki emphasizes its capabilities as a rapid assistance vehicle in case of emergency inside buildings inaccessible to standard rescue vehicles, or within public transportation complexes.

Still in the concept car stage, or quad concept… or even quadruped concept, it will undoubtedly be a highlight at the Japan Mobility Show, opening its doors on October 25th.
