Today’s promotion: -21% on Honda E (€8,860 off)

Soon to be withdrawn from the Honda catalog, the very cute – but expensive – Honda E is trying to clear its inventory.

In a way, it has broken in the most. Someone had to venture into electric with style. The Renault Zoe was cute and pragmatic in its technical choices and materials. The Honda E went much farther in engineering daring. The good and the bad side of Honda at times, because engineering is a supreme value.

Still, the Honda E ended up charging too much for its performance while, at the same time, its range was laughable. In practice, it was perfect for a daily city car with its small battery and 150 km of range. It simply required charging every two days on average. However, you had to be careful not to get caught needing a recharge in the middle of a trip, as the charging speed was too slow.

Then Tesla arrived with more modern technology and, above all, much lower prices. Suddenly, driving electric was no longer reserved for eccentrics. And the Honda E eventually became outdated. It will remain a regret because the approach was beautiful.

Likely a future collector’s item, one of the first in the electric world, the Honda E is currently heavily discounted. Honda dealers, not used to offering discounts, are finally willing to do so. Already nearly 10%, and probably more with good negotiations.

Adding the €5,000 eco bonus, we already get a 21% price reduction compared to the catalog. At €33,900, the Honda E remains expensive for its segment, but today, it should be seen more as a collectible object.
