Originally from Cork, Ireland, David Twohig began his engineering career at Nissan in the UK in 1992, then joined Renault after the creation of the Renault-Nissan alliance. David led teams of engineers responsible for three vehicles: the first-generation Nissan Qashqai (2007), the Renault ZOE (2012), and finally, the multi-award-winning sports car, the Alpine A110 (2017). David was named Engineer of the Year by the British magazine Autocar in 2018. Currently living in France, David works as an automotive engineering consultant.
