Polestar Runs on Google Android

Polestar strengthens its strategic partnership with Google by deploying new innovative features across its entire range.

Integrated for the first time in the Polestar 2 launched three years ago, the Android Automotive operating system has found its place in the models of the Chinese-Swedish manufacturer under the Geely group. It is now extended to models 3 and 4 with new interesting features.

Send a planned itinerary directly from your mobile to the car

Google introduces a new feature that allows users to plan their trips on Google Maps beforehand and send it directly to the car’s operating system. Nothing revolutionary, but the real benefit is that the car will adapt this information with real-time data such as location, traffic, and of course battery range, to update the stop planning.

Important point, it will not be necessary to have an Android mobile phone since the app also works on iOS. A small elegance that Apple might not have necessarily included, and which is therefore to be appreciated.

In-car navigation with Google Chrome

The Chrome browser is beginning to be deployed for the Polestar 2 in beta version, offering drivers a familiar and easy-to-use navigation experience when they are parked.
