The Hyundai Kona Electric starting at 26,380 euros

The South Korean manufacturer still has units of its previous electric SUV Kona to sell through a XXL discount.

For the price of a well-equipped Renault Clio, you can currently drive a Hyundai Kona electric and save on fuel costs. Admittedly, the Kona in question isn’t the latest model, and you need to charge the batteries. But the cost per kilometer is incomparable.

Thanks to clearance sales, there are always great deals to be made. Like this one, a “zero kilometer” car already registered and thus eligible for the ecological bonus. Still, with a listed price of 26,380 euros (negotiation possible?), it’s extremely attractive.

Furthermore, a Hyundai Kona is far from being a stripped-down car in terms of equipment and build quality.

The powertrain is adequate for everyday use: a 39 kWh battery and a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor. As for equipment, there are no issues:

• cruise control / speed limiter
• backup camera
• parking radar
• automatic air conditioning
• multifunction touchscreen
• 6-speaker radio
• + all the modern and necessary assistances available in Europe today

And remember, even if it’s a SUV that gives Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo headaches, you will still be able to park in the capital without extra cost, because the Kona electric weighs less than 2 tons. This will become the ultimate sales argument…
