Seat Ibiza: a €199/month leasing option with no commitment!

The Spanish compact Seat Ibiza is back with a long-term rental offer that can be canceled at any time.

The trend is towards no commitment in automotive, telecommunications, love, etc. Also, following the feat achieved by Lynk & Co with its large SUV 01 offered for monthly rent, many manufacturers have followed suit.

However, carrying inventory without long-term visibility is a risky exercise, which is why Lynk & Co continues to raise its prices. From 500 euros per month, prices first increased to 550 euros, and now to 600 euros.

199 euros / month, the fair price?

At first glance, one might think that €199/month for a basic Seat Ibiza, fairly well equipped, is expensive.

In detail, it’s the Copa trim with the small 3-cylinder 1.0-liter TSI engine producing 95 horsepower, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The equipment includes:

Nevertheless, cheaper options are available nowadays… but that requires commitment. You can’t have everything. Seat assesses the risk of early return of the car, and this is factored into the price. There is also no down payment at the initial lease payment.

The rental period is 37 months with monthly payments of 199 euros. Totaling 7,363 euros. This is very reasonable when you consider, thanks to an initial discount of 5,500 euros.

The allowed mileage is limited to 30,000 km, or 10,000 km per year. Any excess is possible but charged at the time of vehicle return. Finally, any month that is started is due in full.

That seems like a very suitable offer, available until February 29, 2024. For the same monthly cost, the small SUV Seat Arona is also available without commitment.
