All the pricing details of the new Lancia Ypsilon

Three levels of finishes and two engine options, including one 100% electric. Here’s everything you need to know about the small Lancia.

To develop this model on which the brand’s future depends, Lancia based it on the Stellantis multi-energy CMP (Common Modular Platform). A modular structure that can accommodate 100% electric motors and hybrid assemblies. In short, it’s the same platform as the Peugeot 208, ensuring reliability in handling and behavior.

To stand out from its cousin with the lion emblem, Lancia opted to prioritize comfort onboard, notably with a specific acoustic insulation package. Lancia claims to have developed special door seal models that improve sound quality upon closing. The cornerstone of this onboard living concept is S.A.L.A., a virtual interface that consolidates essential parameters to create a personalized driving experience. In Italian, “SALA” means “living room,” but in this context, it stands for Sound Air Light Augmentation, an infotainment system that centralizes audio, climate control, and lighting functions, allowing the driver and passenger to adapt the interior environment with just a press of a button.

Elegance and Common Sense

The new Lancia Ypsilon, in its fully electric version, is the brand’s first 100% electric car. With a power unit of 156 horsepower / 115 kW and a 51 kWh battery, the new Ypsilon offers a range of up to 403 km in WLTP cycle. Its battery charges from 20 to 80% in 24 minutes or 10 minutes for a 100 km trip.

The hybrid MHEV version, which is expected to account for most sales, is equipped with a 1.2 L three-cylinder engine developing 100 hp (74 kW), supported by a mild 48V hybrid system and a 6-speed e-DCT automatic transmission. With a top speed of 190 km/h, 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in 9 seconds, and emissions between 103 and 104 g/km depending on the WLTP cycle, this hybrid shows promising capabilities.

The Lancia Ypsilon is available today in three trims:

• Nuova Lancia Ypsilon, elegant and more targeted at young people
• Nuova Lancia Ypsilon LX, a well-equipped version
• Nuova Lancia Ypsilon Edizione Cassina, at the top of the range

In line with the Dare Forward strategic plan, Lancia used the Ypsilon presentation to confirm the arrival of two more models: Gamma will be introduced in 2026 and Delta in 2028.
