Spicy Sauce VZ for the New CUPRA Born

With its 326 hp and 545 Nm of torque, the new CUPRA Born VZ is now available for order.

The CUPRA Born, launched at the end of 2021, was the brand’s first 100% electric model. It was time to give it a little refresh, and what better way than a sporty version to extend its life?

Short for Veloz which means fast in Spanish, VZ refers to the characteristics of this new CUPRA Born. It retains the powertrain from the CUPRA Born while increasing its power to 326 hp and a torque of 545 Nm, which are directly transmitted to the rear wheels. This translates to a 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds. Furthermore, the top speed has also been increased and is now limited to 200 km/h, which is 40 km/h more than the versions currently available in the catalog.

Faster, further, more expensive

Fast is good, but further is better. The CUPRA Born VZ can cover up to 599 km. The battery has been improved and now offers a net capacity of 79 kWh (+2 kWh). It can be charged at home using a wallbox on alternating current (AC) of 11 kW or at a fast charging station on direct current (DC) up to 185 kW.

Inside the decidedly sporty cabin, the CUP Bucket seats are exclusive to this version of the CUPRA Born. They provide a lower seating position to offer a sportier driving experience. Additionally, the CUP Bucket seats of the CUPRA Born VZ are made from SEAQUAL YARN recycled textile and DINAMICA that contains 73% recycled polyester. It is equipped with a new infotainment system featuring a 12.9-inch screen (+0.9 inch compared to the Born). This includes a new backlit touch bar, which allows for direct adjustment of the climate control and volume. Its Hi-Fi audio system, including 10 speakers and producing 425 watts, was developed in collaboration with sound experts Sennheiser Mobility.

It is available starting at 46,690 euros in 6 different colors: Geyser Silver, Misty Gray, Aurora Blue, Nevada White, including 2 new colors, Esterel Green and Midnight Black. A LOA financing option for 37 months and 30,000 km with an 8,500 euro down payment is offered starting at 399 euros/month.
