Citroën C3 Aircross, the Swiss Army Knife SUV starting at €19,400

Multi-energy and able to accommodate up to 7 passengers, the new Citroën C3 Aircross breaks new ground.

Unveiled today, the new Citroën C3 Aircross shares the platform with the C3, allowing it to be positioned at a particularly attractive price. It adopts the new identity of the double chevron brand, both inside and out. With a length of 4.39 meters, the 5-seater version prioritizes interior space, while a brand new 7-seater version, a first in the segment, offers large families an ideal tool for daily use.

But within these families, there are those who prefer gasoline for long distances and ease of use, and those convinced of the energy transition. Then there are those in between, who like the comfort of electric but fear the constraints of charging. So how to satisfy everyone? In addition to the gasoline engine, the new C3 Aircross shifts towards electrification through two offers: a versatile 136-horsepower 48V hybrid powertrain that promotes reduced consumption, and a fully electric version. With a range of over 300 km (certification pending), this latter covers more than 80% of daily needs thanks to its recharging from 20% to 80% in just 26 minutes and the use of the ë-ROUTES app, a route planner that adapts in real-time to changes on the journey. A version with a range of over 400 km will be available in 2025.

But the true strength of this all-purpose SUV is indeed its unique 7-seater version in this segment. The vertical rear ensures reasonable comfort for the occupants of the third row, even if young children will be more comfortable than a teenager who is 1.90m tall. The large rear door and the folding 40/60 bench seats of the second row facilitate access to the two additional seats that fold into the floor. When they are not deployed, the trunk offers a flat loading surface. With all seats deployed, the trunk volume is 40 liters, and 330 liters in the 5-seater configuration. The two occupants of the third row even benefit from headrests, side armrests, cup holders, and a USB port. Ideal for charging a tablet during long journeys.
