A self-driving Honda… in your garden!

Honda launches its brand new range of robotic lawn mowers Miimo, and they have nothing to envy from a Tesla!

With significant new developments in navigation, smartphone connectivity, and equipped with new sensors, Honda’s latest models show technical specifications delightfully close to those of the highly anticipated autonomous cars.

But a lawn mower is primarily meant for mowing. And no car, unless it has passed through the Monster Garage, will be able to do that. The Shortcut Wire technology allows the Miimo to navigate through narrow passages up to 60 cm from wire to wire. Precision is enhanced, and you won’t have to go back and redo areas behind the little machine.

Autonomous and Smart

But the most charming aspect is undoubtedly the satellite-assisted guidance technology. Pretty impressive for a simple lawn mower, right? This advanced feature improves precision and allows for uniform mowing. No more neglected areas while the machine stubbornly works on the same corner of the garden. It is also possible to define free zones for gardening activities or flower planting.

Finally, thanks to the app, users can effortlessly interact with their robotic lawn mower, no matter where they are in the world. The use of weather data through the app also helps avoid mowing in unfavorable conditions.

The new Honda Miimo models will be arriving in Europe soon. If they are aligned with the existing range, their prices should start around 1,500 euros.
