Kia EV3

With its advantages, the latest 100% electric SUV from South Korean manufacturer Kia has great ambitions.

With dimensions close to a Peugeot e-2008 or a Renault Mégane, the Kia EV3 fearlessly targets an ultra-competitive market. It is known that to triumph, a vehicle needs an appealing design, good range, and an attractive price. Unfortunately for its competitors, it combines all of this!

This well-proportioned SUV measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width, and 1,560 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. It features an electric powertrain based on Kia’s modular electric E-GMP platform and utilizes Kia’s fourth-generation battery technology. In its standard version, it is offered with a 58.3 kWh battery, while in its long-range version, it boasts an 81.4 kWh battery. In this long-distance configuration, the EV3 claims up to 600 km of WLTP range. The heat pump management system ensures that the battery charges from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes.

Both versions are equipped with a 150 kW (204 hp) / 283 Nm electric motor that allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a top speed limited to 170 km/h. The Kia EV3 is the first model to feature Kia’s new i-Pedal 3.0 regenerative braking system, enabling the driver to adjust the level of energy recovery during braking to their preference, while adopting one-pedal driving.

Kia Wants to Pamper Passengers

  • GT Line: 19-inch alloy wheels, Blind Spot Monitor, Smart Parking Assistance with Remote Parking Assistance, and 360° Surround View Monitor.

The heat pump and the EV tech package (V2L and preparation for V2G/V2H) are available as options or standard across the range.

The Kia EV3 will first be launched in South Korea in July 2024, followed by its European debut in the second half of that year. French pricing should be announced soon, but in Belgium, the starting price has been set at 41,190 euros.
