The Renault 5 Gets into Football

AS Monaco and Renault announce a collaboration for the upcoming season with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric.

By becoming a major partner of the club from the Principality, the diamond brand allows the Renault 5 E-Tech electric logo to be displayed on the front of the professional team’s jersey during Champions League matches that the Red and Whites will play this season.

The R5 logo will also be visible on the “pocket” of the players’ jerseys during their Ligue 1 matches and will benefit from significant visibility at the Louis-II Stadium, as well as on the club’s various communication materials.

A round of twenty Renault 5s for the Club

Pop and mischievous, the iconic R5 is now in 100% electric mode. Let it be said, the legendary Renault 5, sold from 1972 to 1996, is back! With a deliberately retro design choice and a 100% electric E-Tech powertrain, the new tricolor icon skillfully blends history with the future. The Renault 5 E-Tech electric offers up to 410 km of range, making it perfectly suited for daily urban use and for some small getaways outside the city. Identifiable by its grille straight from the 1970s and its light signature, the Renault 5 reinterprets and reinvents details from its predecessor. In a revisited throwback, the hood’s air vent has been transformed into a charge indicator. At the back, the lights adopt a vertical orientation and contribute to the aerodynamics of the new R5.

As part of this collaboration, a fleet of more than twenty vehicles will be made available to AS Monaco. Finally, numerous activations between the two entities will allow the Monegasque club, with the extensive network of Renault dealerships across mainland France, to reach all of its supporters present throughout France and in the Principality.
