Virtual padel at CUPRA!

In August, the CUPRA City Garage in Paris is reinventing itself with a temporary virtual reality Padel court.

The flame of the Olympic Games was extinguished this Sunday, and if you are already missing some sports, CUPRA has thought of you. While waiting for the grand return with the Paralympic Games, why not try a little Padel initiation!

The Spanish manufacturer has decided this summer to transform its City Garage in Paris into a temporary Padel court. But a particular, unique, and quirky playing area because it’s virtual. From August 6 to 31, the brand’s showroom located at 1 Boulevard de la Madeleine offers a virtual reality (VR) experience dedicated to Padel. Arriving in the world of Padel in 2019, CUPRA has become the premium sponsor of all official competitions of the World Padel Tour (WPT), as well as the main sponsor of the International Padel Federation (IPF) and Premier Padel. Since then, the manufacturer has continuously strengthened its bond with the sport and its thriving community, even developing its own range of rackets with Wilson.

The setup offers visitors a complete immersion in the game thanks to VR technology, ensuring a unique interactive experience. You won’t become a seasoned player in just a few minutes of training, but you can get initiated into the subtleties of this game. It’s a sort of mix between squash and tennis that is very accessible and where progression is rapid. A first glimpse before perhaps crossing the boundary between virtual and real. If this very young discipline is not yet on the Olympic Games program, it would be very surprising if it doesn’t at least become a demonstration sport in the next editions before being officially integrated into the program.
