BMW Rent a Ride, the idea of the century!

The German manufacturer BMW offers for rent, from 1 to 28 days, some of its motorcycles and scooters in 24 countries. Awesome and inexpensive!

Who hasn’t thought that instead of renting a car, they would prefer to rent a motorcycle or a scooter? Some destinations can be extremely tedious and time-consuming when you are on four wheels, such as Italy or the French Riviera. But we often forget to check if local dealers offer a rental service.

BMW addresses this issue with its Rent a Ride service available in 24 countries, plus some overseas territories like Guadeloupe, Martinique, and Réunion. The latter is rightly notorious for its endless traffic jams. And it would be a shame to miss out because the rates offered are extremely competitive!

From 25 euros per day

The rental limit is 28 days, and all styles of motorcycles and scooters are offered. A bit of indulgence is necessary, however: not all partner dealerships have a large fleet of bikes available. In Nice, during the peak summer season, we found a BMW CE04 starting at 25 euros per day! Who can beat that?

Depending on the offers, daily mileage can range from 100 km to unlimited. Conversely, some offers display a very low price but require you to purchase “mileage packs.” This is often the case for larger displacement bikes which can start at 40 euros per day.

How to rent a motorcycle with BMW Rent A Ride?

• Go to fuelforlife.bmw-motorrad.com/fr/rental.html
• Select the model(s) you are interested in, the desired period, as well as the country and city where you want to rent, then click on “SEARCH”.
• A list of available BMW motorcycles for the selected period will be displayed.
• To see where Rent A Ride partners are located on a map, use the “SHOW ON MAP” button.
• Select the motorcycle of your choice, choose your pick-up and return times, and then click on “BOOK”.
• Fill in your personal information and click on “CONTINUE”.
• Check all the information on the summary page. If everything is in order, accept the terms and conditions and click on “BOOK NOW”.
• You will immediately receive a confirmation email for your reservation.

What is the amount of the deposit?

The amount and terms of the deposit vary depending on the rental partner. You will receive this specific information during the booking process. Choose your Rent A Ride rental partner: an “i” symbol next to the name will display the opening hours and accepted payment methods. Next to the rate of the chosen motorcycle, another “i” symbol will give you details about the services, particularly regarding insurance. The general terms of your Rent A Ride rental partner will also provide additional information about the deposit.

For the rest, almost all of Europe is covered, as well as Japan. In contrast, the United States does not yet offer this service. But you can still enjoy the adventure.
