The new Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally already discounted by €11,000

Hardly on the market, already discounted. The Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally adjusts its price by over 10,000 euros. Crazy!

It is always surprising to see mainstream manufacturers producing cars priced over 80,000 euros without a promise of sale. Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and their peers do not play this game. A car is only launched into production once it has been ordered and customized.

At Ford or Tesla, where there is an aspiration to compete in the Premium segment, they take this risk to keep production costs as low as possible. But it is a dangerous game, as the demand is weak at this price level.

Still 71,000 euros to pay?

The configuration exercise on the Ford France online tool raises doubts about the actual final price of the Mustang Mach-E Rally, as it is an option priced at 3,000 euros in the GT trim for its 2024 technical configuration.

This is a true supercar equipped with 950 Nm of torque and 487 horsepower. With the extended-range battery, the range can reach up to 510 kilometers. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes just 4.3 seconds. A little slower than the GT version, but the equipment explains it: specific body kit, sport spoiler, 19” white Sport wheels, metallic-finished pedals, decorative stripes on the hood and sides, specific “Rally” driving mode, 20 mm lifted suspension, Sensico upholstery with embossed front seats Mach-E Rally, and glossy white rear shells.

Alas, when options are applied, the promised price of 70,990 euros suddenly jumps to 75,490 euros, so we are far from the commercial promise. The same if you pull out a calculator, that does not equal +3,000 euros. In reality, the Mach-E Rally imposes an optional color costing about 1,500 euros.

In the catalog of already available models, we see the same prices with still an 11,000 euros discount, and that is what is important to note.

And if the Ford Mustang Mach-E appeals to you, its starting price is currently 43,990 euros for a 2024 version and 42,490 euros for a 2023 version. But in both cases, the American SUV is not eligible for the 4000 euros ecological bonus.
