Mustang Mach-E 2025: Ford is not giving up

Ford has unveiled new enhancements to its electric sports SUV launched in 2020, the Mustang Mach-E model year 2025.

Not a year goes by without Ford evolving its Mustang Mach-E, as if it were a matter of honor against Tesla and its Model Y. Enhancements have been both very deep, as in 2024, or more minor, like this new 2025 version that will start its career in the United States early in the year before crossing the Atlantic.

In France, the commercial success of this electric SUV is quite notable, as its distinctive look, which sets it apart from a plain Model Y, appeals to buyers, along with its performance in terms of range and charging speed. Externally, the 2025 model year benefits from three new optional colors (Magenta red as seen in the photo, Velocity blue, and a sandy yellow) and three new wheel designs.

A new Premium aesthetic package also makes its appearance on the GT version. It includes a new front bumper, red Brembo brake calipers (only at the front…), 19-inch black wheels, and gloss black body contours.

Inside, the seats (ventilated at the front as standard) feature red stitching and an aluminum pedal set. Note that the gear lever has moved from the center console and is no longer rotary; it now resides on the steering column, as Americans love it. Ford justifies this choice by pursuing a larger central space for drinks or other items. Fair enough.

A better energy management

Now, the Mustang Mach-E 2025 includes a heat pump as standard to optimize energy consumption, especially in very cold weather, thus limiting the impact on range.

No major technical changes, but notable electronic modernization. A connectivity package will now offer a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capable of connecting up to 10 devices within a range of 15 meters. Ford describes this option as “ideal for camping or outdoor events“.

Finally, Ford will equip (still optional) its new Mustang Mach-E with the latest version of its BlueCruise 1.5 autonomous driving system, which introduces automatic lane changes without driver intervention in about 45% of cases.

In the United States, this new Mustang Mach-E 2025 will be offered at a starting price of $36,495 excluding taxes, equivalent to approximately €33,800 (or €40,560 with a VAT of 20% like in France).
