Uber and Lotus collaborate to offer luxury electric car rides until the end of November in London

Since this October, users of the famous app have the opportunity to travel in ultra-luxurious cars for a limited number of rides. Indeed, a number of Lotus Eletre, the hyper-SUV from the yellow and green manufacturer have joined the ranks of Uber Green for a limited time. Users can book one of these avant-garde vehicles for a ride and experience the future of emission-free transportation.

They are even encouraged to do so as Uber has decided to hold a very original contest. The user who saves the most carbon emissions by booking rides in electric vehicles by the end of November will receive free Uber Green rides for a decade! Until the end of November, in hopes of winning the big prize, users will benefit from booking as many rides as possible through the Uber Green app, with the possibility of riding in a Lotus Eletre during this same period.

The first fully electric hyper-SUV from Lotus is expected to please passengers. It combines luxurious comfort with advanced technology, and customers can enjoy a spacious and comfortable interior. As a bonus, the satisfaction of traveling in a vehicle that does not emit a gram of CO2.

London is not new to this

Uber Green, which started in central London in 2021, allows users to book zero-emission rides at the same price as UberX. Since its launch, Uber has prevented an additional 55,000 tons of carbon emissions in London. Drivers using Uber Green also earn 10% more on these rides than UberX drivers.

Andrew Brem, managing director of Uber in the UK, expressed enthusiasm: “We are excited to partner with Lotus to combine cutting-edge luxury with sustainable transportation. Uber drivers are already leading the way by transitioning to electric vehicles much faster than other users. They are making London the world capital of Uber electrification.”
