Volkswagen crashes the ID.7 starting at €41,840 (-€18,150)

Too expensive, the electric sedan from Volkswagen ID.7 is discounted with a €14,150 rebate making it eligible for a €4,000 bonus.

The example of the Volkswagen ID.7 reveals the arrogance with which the German manufacturer approached electric vehicles: with prices disconnected from the real world. The same goes for the ID.3, ID.4, etc., good vehicles, but which mislead customers with their prices. Now, the entire range is discounted to get closer to generalist competition like Renault. Thus, the ID.3 finally starts from €30,990 with the bonus deducted, but there are still other logics that escape us. The ID.4 starts from €37,500 (bonus deducted) while the ID.5, the same model but less practical with its coupe-like shape, costs over €13,000 more and is excluded from the environmental bonus.

Let’s get back to the subject of this article, namely the Volkswagen ID.7 in PRO ID. with Life Max package sold starting from €45,840. At this price, one can still deduct the €4,000 from the environmental bonus, resulting in a final price of €41,840.

Let’s say it right away: this is frankly extraordinary and deserves attention! Already, if the idea of buying does not appeal to you, you can lease it with a long-term lease over 37 months, 30,000 kilometers, and no down payment for €559/month (1st payment of €4,000 related to the ecological bonus).

This ID.7 PRO ID. takes advantage of the “small” 77 kWh battery. However, the ID.7 is so aerodynamic and efficient that its range in Life Max trim is rated at 613 km! Surprisingly, the catalog price for this trim is currently €59,990, which indicates a rebate of €14,150 for cash purchases.

Technically, the rear-wheel-drive model boasts 286 horsepower (0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, 180 km/h top speed) and has a mixed cycle consumption of 14.2 kWh/100km. The fast charging accepts up to 175 kW – an excellent value – and the slow charge up to 11 kW (also very good).

Of course, there is a “but” in this too-good-to-be-true offer: it is limited to stock available at Volkswagen. So, don’t take too long… For reference, it’s cheaper than a Tesla Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive for similar or even superior features because the equipment is outstanding.
