Segway launches its new generation of electric scooters

Global leader in small electric scooters unveils its latest models at CES Las Vegas 2025.

With over 13 million electric scooters sold worldwide, Segway announces a new range consisting of seven models designed to meet diverse uses and budgets. These new models feature technological innovations and advanced safety features, all while complying with existing regulations, notably in France, where the speed of unregistered scooters is limited to 25 km/h.

Among the new features, Segway has introduced several technological advancements. The SegRide system enhances stability and maneuverability, while the SegRange autonomy has been optimized to extend riding distance. The new-generation TFT screen displays information such as navigation or call notifications, while the AirLock system offers contactless unlocking, increasing convenience and security. Other systems like dynamic traction control (SDTC), anti-lock braking (S-ABS), and an improved battery management system (BMS 2.0) highlight the focus on safety and performance.

In the premium category, the new Segway GT3 Pro and GT3 E succeed the GT2 P and GT1 E models. The GT3 Pro, especially performance-oriented, accelerates from 0 to 48 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of an impressive 80 km/h (outside regulated use) and a range of 138 kilometers at reduced speed. It is equipped with a dual-piston hydraulic braking system and adjustable hydraulic suspensions that, combined with 11-inch self-healing tires, ensure a smooth and safe ride. Meanwhile, the GT3 E offers a more accessible alternative, with a 2400 W engine, a 95-kilometer range, and similar features for comfort and safety. These models are scheduled for availability in the first and second quarters of 2025, respectively.

Segway also offers alternatives for daily commuting with the Ninebot MAX G3 E. Designed to become a reference in urban electric scooters, it stands out with an 80-kilometer range, quick recharge in 3.5 hours, and adjustable hydraulic suspensions for optimal comfort. This model incorporates the latest innovations, including AirLock technology and a TFT screen with connected features via the Segway Mobility app. Its commercialization is planned for the first quarter of 2025.

For users seeking a compact urban solution, the Ninebot F3 E and F3 Pro E offer a range of up to 70 kilometers, combined with a high-performance motor and front and rear hydraulic suspensions for stable, comfortable riding. These models also feature a connected interface and TFT screen for easy access to essential information. Launch is expected at the end of the first quarter of 2025.

Finally, the Ninebot E3 E and E3 Pro E complete the lineup with lightweight, foldable scooters ideal for city travel. Equipped with an 800 W motor and a magnesium frame, they combine practicality and performance. The SegRide stabilization system and TCS traction control ensure a safe ride, while their compact design makes them easy to transport. These models will arrive on the market during the second quarter of 2025.

With this new generation, Segway continues its ambition to meet user expectations while respecting regulatory constraints. In France, as in other countries, unregistered models must be limited to 25 km/h to ensure legal compliance.
