Gordon Murray Celebrates 60 Years of Automotive Engineering

Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) will honor the six decades of creation and engineering of its legendary founder in July.

On this occasion, Gordon Murray will showcase his most remarkable creations at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed. GMA will have the honor of the Central Feature, a symbol of the event, with a spectacular sculpture erected in front of Goodwood House. This artwork will symbolize the unique heritage and ongoing innovation that have characterized the brand since 1965.

GMA’s modern sports cars, including the T.50, T.50s Niki Lauda, T.33, and T.33 Spider, will be highlighted alongside iconic models designed by Gordon Murray for road and race, thus recounting his extraordinary journey over six decades. The highlight of these celebrations will be the unveiling of a new supercar, the GMA T.33.

For Professor Murray, each car embodies an engineering and design challenge. “For 60 years, I have pushed the limits, whether for race cars or road cars. Gordon Murray Automotive’s supercars draw inspiration from every vehicle I have designed, driven, or owned. Lightweight design, material innovation, cutting-edge technologies, and boldness are at the heart of our work,” he declared.

During the Festival, visitors will be able to explore the entire GMA range in several strategic locations: in front of Goodwood House, in the supercar paddock, and on the cricket field, where a special exhibition will be dedicated to historic vehicles. These displays will highlight the harmonious blend of engineering art and the pursuit of perfection that have defined GMA since its inception.

This tribute to Gordon Murray promises to be a highlight, celebrating a career marked by innovations that redefined the automobile, both on the road and on the track.
