The Honda 0 SUV on Canadian Tour

Our dear Canadian cousins are currently lucky to host the prototype of the Honda 0 SUV announced for 2026.

Honda Canada has been showcasing the 0 concept for some days now, an electric SUV based on the new in-house platform 0 Series from the Japanese brand. Designed to be versatile, this architecture adapts to various body styles (sedans, SUVs, vans).

Although it is still only a prototype, the concept shows an estimated range between 400 and 500 km. Honda has not yet revealed any details regarding the price or battery capacity, and some features, such as the glove compartment, were not functional.

Photos published on X by our colleague Petrina Gentile, hinting at volumes quite similar to the CR-V but with a lower roof and, according to Honda, a more spacious trunk. This model embodies Honda’s philosophy “Thin, Light, Wise.” This design prioritizes lightness and aerodynamics, far from the imposing silhouettes of traditional SUVs. Inside, the concept features eco-friendly leather seats and a fully digital dashboard using a new Honda operating system. However, some choices, such as the absence of air vents and the Tesla Yoke-style steering wheel, raise practical questions. Honda plans to adapt certain features to comply with local standards, especially regarding cameras used as rearview mirrors, which are banned in most markets.

The prototype features Moonlight Pearl paint and 21-inch wheels, which are expected to give way to more reasonable sizes. The flush door handles, adding a modern touch, are likely to be retained. Finally, the production model, expected in mid-2026, will go by another name.

In summary, the Honda 0 SUV concept represents a promising step for the manufacturer. If the price remains competitive and certain details are optimized, this SUV could appeal to a wide audience, including taller drivers.
