Las Vegas Police Receive Fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) announced that it has received its very first fleet of Tesla Cybertrucks as a donation.

In a statement, the LVMPD specified that an anonymous donor had offered at least ten Cybertrucks for patrols and SWAT teams. “By the way, we had ordered these vehicles before the explosion at Trump Tower,” said Sheriff Kevin McMahill to the pro-Trump media outlet Police1, referring to the incident that occurred on New Year’s Day. This tragic event resulted in the death of the driver, identified as an active-duty soldier, and injured several individuals.

“But let me tell you this: we wanted these vehicles because they ensure the safety of our officers, no matter what happens,” McMahill added. “These pickups are bulletproof. They are also a great tool for attracting new recruits.”

The sheriff emphasized that these vehicles were donated by a benefactor and would have no impact on the department’s budget. It appears that the co-founder of a venture capital firm and his wife financed the acquisition of these Tesla Cybertrucks.

This announcement comes after assistance from Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and influential advisor to President Trump, to authorities investigating the explosion outside the president’s luxury hotel. The LVMPD had then praised the technology billionaire’s contribution. An act not devoid of ulterior motives, as Musk has been openly courting police services since the unveiling of his pickup truck. He reacted Tuesday to this new fleet on his social media platform X with a simple yet effective sunglasses emoji.
