The price of the Tesla Model 3 drops to 39,990 euros!

Besides the arrival of the highly anticipated Long Range Propulsion, the Tesla Model 3 lineup is benefiting from a wave of price reductions.

We announced it in August, this price drop on the Tesla Model 3 was just a matter of time. Since Friday, July 5, customs duties of nearly 50% have been applied by the European Commission on imports of electric vehicles from China. This includes the French Model 3, which, although American, is manufactured in Shanghai. Tesla was therefore forced to adjust the price of its Model 3 Propulsion. At 41,490 euros without subsidies since July 10, it no longer attracted many buyers compared to the Model Y offered at 36,990 euros this summer!

However, negotiations between the manufacturers and Brussels animated the summer, and the big winner of the back-to-school season is Tesla ! The American manufacturer did not give up and after pleading its case, certainly weighing its presence in Europe at the Giga in Berlin, its rate was reduced to below 10%.

With a quick calculation, we can consider that Tesla has gained nearly 800 euros per model. All that remained was to pass this reduction on to the customer bill, which has been done well beyond the most optimistic forecasts.

With this discount of 1,500 euros, the Propulsion now drops below 40,000 euros while the Long Range crosses the symbolic barrier of 50,000 euros.

Prices on the Tesla France site are now 39,900 euros for the Propulsion, 49,990 euros for the Long Range All-Wheel Drive, and 57,490 euros for the Performance, which unfortunately is not subject to price adjustments.
