2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix F1 Schedule

F1 is back at full speed in 2024! Less than a week after the first race of the season in Bahrain, won by Max Verstappen, the paddock moves to Jeddah for the 2024 Saudi Arabian GP (March 7-9), the second race of the championship. Attention, the Grand Prix is scheduled again on Saturday!

Introduced to the Formula 1 calendar in 2021, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is one of the fastest street circuits of the season (about 250 km/h average), with long straight lines, many high-speed corners, and three DRS zones. The 6.174-kilometer track is also the second longest on the calendar, after Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium). Like Bahrain, the race will be held exclusively at night.

In 2024, it will be the third edition of the Saudi Arabian GP. On the current grid, three drivers have already won in Jeddah: Lewis Hamilton (2021), Max Verstappen (2022), and Sergio Pérez (2023). The race lap record was set by the seven-time British world champion in 2021, with a time of 1’30″734.

In Saudi Arabia, Max Verstappen will try to dominate again, having easily won in Bahrain to open the 2024 championship. However, the Dutch driver will need to be cautious of his teammate Sergio Pérez, the reigning winner in Jeddah and a master of street circuits. Ferrari and Mercedes will also aim to challenge Red Bull this weekend after their tough defeat against the Austrian team in Sakhir.
