Alpine Returns to Rallying with the A290 Electric!

Alpine celebrates its 70th anniversary in style by unveiling the A290 Rallye, the first 100% electric rally car designed for customer competition!

Presented just before the start of the Rallye du Rouergue, this muscular version of the sporty A290 promises to make waves both on the roads and on the podiums.

Developed by the teams in Viry-Châtillon and assembled in Dieppe at the competition workshop of the Alpine Jean Rédélé Manufacturing, the A290 Rallye makes no compromises. With its 220 hp and 300 Nm transmitted to the front wheels via a ZF limited-slip differential, it is built for performance. Its impressive technical array includes a welded roll cage, FIA-homologated Sabelt bucket seats, large 6-piston brakes at the front, race ABS, specially designed ALP Racing Suspension, and even a hydraulic handbrake. Enough to compete with the best!

The A290 aims to open a new era

But Alpine looks further ahead. The A290 Rallye is part of an ambitious zero carbon competition strategy. Green charging infrastructure, dynamic sound synchronized with acceleration for the show… The brand does not forget either the drivers or the audience.

By the end of 2025, the first monotype event will be held in France for the fortunate initial customers. This will be followed by free engagements in regional rallies, activities around Alpine dealerships, and even an exclusive Alpine Stores ranking to strengthen the bond between the brand and its enthusiasts.

Priced at €59,990 excluding VAT, the A290 Rallye offers a true entry point into electric competition. A concentrate of technology, passion, and modernity, in the pure sporting tradition of Alpine.

And the adventure has only just begun! After its first appearance at the Rouergue, the A290 Rallye will race at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 10-13), before tackling the roads of the Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine (September 4-6). The blue legend electrifies… and it’s going to create sparks!
