A Real BMW GS Now Accessible with a Simple A2 License

With the new F 450 GS, BMW opens the doors of the legendary “GS” family to fans of lightweight and versatile motorcycles.

The BMW GS, a trail icon for over forty years, now has a little sister designed for everyone: the BMW F 450 GS. Specifically created for holders of the A2 license, it delivers 48 horsepower, while retaining everything that makes a true GS spirit: maneuverability, durability, and riding pleasure both on the road and off-road.

Under its sharp fairing and X-shaped headlight, the newcomer hides a 420 cc twin-cylinder engine entirely developed by BMW Motorrad. Compact, lightweight and economical, it offers 35 kW (48 hp) and 43 Nm of torque, with an average consumption of only 3.8 l/100 km. Enough to promise over 350 km of range and sensations worthy of a much larger motorcycle.

It has everything of a big one

The F 450 GS doesn’t just settle for a high-performance engine, it also introduces a major innovation, the Easy Ride Clutch (ERC). This automatic clutch eliminates the need to operate the lever with every gear change. A smooth, simple, and enjoyable ride, ideal for beginners or riders seeking comfort.

BMW hasn’t forgotten the equipment. The 6.5-inch TFT screen ensures full connectivity (phone, music, navigation), while the full LED headlights guarantee optimal visibility. Three riding modes – Rain, Road, and Enduro – along with electronic aids such as ABS Pro and DTC traction control enhance safety.
