Breakr

A moped, but with a little motorcycle side: the Brekr Model B can rely on its style to make a name for itself in the electric two-wheeler market.

The Dutch startup Brekr developed the Model B with the goal of creating something simple and durable, without sacrificing style. The result is quite original, with a two-wheeler that will undoubtedly attract attention wherever it goes.

Classified in the 50cc equivalent category, the Model B is limited to 45 km/h. A restricted version at 25 km/h is also available. Given the weight of the vehicle (78 kilos with a battery), it does not fall into the category of lightweight mopeds, which must not exceed 30 kilos. Therefore, unlike electric kick scooters, it will probably not be permitted to use bike lanes.

With one or two batteries

Whether limited to 25 or 45 km/h, the Model B is always equipped with a 2.5 kW electric motor. The lithium-ion battery housed in the steel frame has a capacity of 2 kWh. It offers a range between 50 and 80 km. Additionally, you can opt to add a second battery, which increases the maximum range to 160 km.

Like most small electric two-wheelers, the battery is removable. It weighs about ten kilograms, which also complies with the category standards. The charging time is estimated at around 5 hours.

The compact size and light weight should ensure optimal maneuverability.

Customization options are quite numerous. The color palette includes many options, the seat can be black or brown, and the rear shock absorber can go from black to green. Brekr also allows a choice between road tires and all-terrain tires.

Quite a high price

The Model B is sold for €5,099 (excluding bonus). To get a second battery, an additional €1,799 must be added. When deviating from the basic configuration (road tires, gray frame, black suspensions and seats), the bill increases. In its most expensive configuration, the Model B reaches €7,234.
