In Bordeaux, eDog launches its free-floating electric scooters

With Yego, eDog is one of the 2 operators authorized to deploy free-floating electric scooters in Bordeaux.

It’s a big day for eDog, which launches its service in Bordeaux on Tuesday, November 1st. A total of 250 electric scooters are expected to be put into operation in the Bordeaux metropolitan area.

The number of vehicles was previously set by Bordeaux Métropole, which has just implemented new stricter rules in the free-floating sector. Yego, which will share the market with eDog for shared scooters in the city, is subject to the same constraints.

eDog has chosen the Super Soco CU-X, a Chinese model powered by a small 2 kW motor. Equipped with a 2.58 kWh battery, this scooter theoretically offers between 70 and 90 km of range. A top-case at the rear houses two helmets available for the user and any passenger.

Regular users of shared scooters will find nothing unusual about eDog’s service. It operates in a very traditional manner, with an app downloadable from the App Store or Google Play.

A base fare and several prepaid packs

eDog charges €0.29 per minute. This rate is strictly identical to that of the competitor Yego. Additionally, customers can opt for prepaid packs, which are more financially advantageous. Here’s what eDog offers:

These packages are valid for 365 days. There are no monthly or weekly subscriptions, at least for now.
